Unlike the first game that had an overhead view of your player character, Book of Shadows is presented in a first person perspective, similar to a point and click adventure game, where you simply look at the various surroundings of the room and do not necessarily explore it. In terms of how the game plays, Book of Shadows is also different from its predecessor. Instead the chapters seem to take some really strange directions and seem to be as far from advancing the main plot as possible. Strangely enough, this is the only part of the game that takes place directly after the first one until the game’s final chapter. This is shown to be particularly bad for Naomi Nakashima who is shown falling into clinical depression in the game’s opening cutscene. The opening cutscene shows the depressing aftermath of the first game’s ending for where reality has been altered so that everyone who died during the events of the first game has never existed in real life yet the remaining cast members still remember them. In concept, Book of Shadows starts out with what one would actually expect to be a unique continuation of the first game’s story. It certainly adds a lot of background to the Corpse Party mythos though, and it will satisfy fans of the first game as long as long as they are not expecting a full blown sequel. What Book of Shadows does not do well at, however, is advancing the main story of the Corpse Party series. Book of Shadows does do a nice job at telling an engaging story and an eerie atmosphere, albeit not as well done as the first game. That does not mean Book of Shadows is bad though. I would say that it is similar to DLC but considering that the game is twice as long as the first game that would be rather demeaning. If anything, it is more of an expansion on the original game. This is saved just slightly by the deaths but the series itself isn't really worth your time (or money) and the best I could give this is a 2 out of 5.Corpse Party: Book of Shadows is not a sequel in the traditional sense. Actually, most of the characters are just awful. Also the ending scene was unneeded and dumb. Like just downright shitty back and froths with little importance. Also the dialog still remains overstuffed with exposition and dribble. You can just feel the creator wanting to. A particular one closer to the end is pretty much super fucked up and effective.īad: The edge of having this series enter hentai is there. Good: So again, the actual ghost and pretty cool and the deaths are fucked up. THen she hugs him and her tits smacking right in his face. We end with a flashback of the main characters older sister bathing him and grabbing his penis as a joke while he blushes. Then we have new people who help the peeing sister (who never pees by the way) and something isn't right and of course shit goes insane by the end. Then there's some psycho killer who is taking pics of the dead bodies. Then you have the little sister who's maybe 9 or 10? And she of course has to pee and so the whole volume is her trying to find a bathroom and can't just go into a fucking corner to pee so instead they have the person with her (her brother?) find a bathroom. So as they travel and get further things get worse and worse as you can imagine. So then we get the blond dude (I won't remember anyone's name from this, sorry) and he's helping one of the girls who he is in love with but she has eyes for another. These ghost in the school are all little dicks who are trying to kill these kids. So we know they are in a different dimension or realm than the real world. So we move on to another two people stuck in this school. So this is slighty better than the first but still.dumb?
